Official poster for the film Milk Teeth, directed by Mihai Mincan and produced by deFilm, created for the Romanian premiere following its world premiere at the Venice Biennale and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). I also developed the character posters.
For the Romanian release, I developed a second version of the poster that explores a warm and melancholic palette, evoking both memory and the passage of time. Maria’s intense gaze occupies the center of the composition, blending with narrative elements. This approach seeks to convey the tension between childhood and loss, between imagination and reality, while also reflecting the protagonist’s inner world and the psychological weight of the story.
Set in Romania in 1989, during the final days of Ceaușescu’s dictatorship, Milk Teeth follows Maria, a ten-year-old girl who is the last to witness her sister’s disappearance before her eyes. Marked by this loss, she struggles to make sense of a new and frightening reality.
