Poster proposition for the new TV series "Matilha (Dogpack)", created by Edgar Medina and directed by João Maia, that premiered on Amazon Prime Video and RTP. I had so much fun designing this poster. It didn’t make the final cut — but I still love it, and I’m the one who did the final poster too, so I get to love both.
Matilha is a kind-hearted street hustler from Lisbon trying to go straight, keep his job, and build a quiet life with Mafalda, his girlfriend. But trouble keeps knocking… this time packed in banana boxes.
This concept still makes me smile. Maybe it’s the raw split at the top with a criminal in a Mickey Mouse costume. Maybe it’s the tension between the ordinary and the dangerous. Maybe it’s just… the bananas.
The series won Best Portuguese Series at the Sophia Awards.
